The CaroMont Health Foundation is the philanthropic arm of CaroMont Health, a not-for-profit health system based in Gastonia, North Carolina. Yes. Cares Scholars commit to a minimum of two years of employment at a CaroMont Health facility upon graduation, formalized through a promissory note. Employees who stay at least two years are significantly more likely to build long-term careers within the organization, giving both the scholar and the community a lasting return on the investment.

The Cares Campaign has a goal of $15 million. Reaching that goal means fully funding 130 scholarships annually across multiple programs in partnership with local colleges and schools, and securing a sustainable pipeline of local healthcare talent for years to come.
